Day #2851 (Thu., Oct. 26, 2017) – Board Game Parts

2017-10-26 - Game Parts

With my leg recovering it will be hard to have the normal type of Daddy/Daughter day that we usually do. I could probably have my wife drop Katie and me off at the movie theater for a show this Saturday or Sunday, but I decided I would do something different. We’re going to develop the Veterinarian Board game that Katie I started to work on a while back. To that end, I ordered a lot of supplies from Amazon. I already have the board printout from Kinkos, and the blank playing cards have arrived. Today the game pieces, dice, and other accessories arrived (see photo to the left). We are good to go and the next Daddy/Daughter day will be this Saturday or Sunday.

My wife had to go to work today so this is the first time in a while in which she has not been here when I need anything. No problem, I’m so much better I can fend for myself these days. Lizzie was here to tend to Bobby.

I had another physical therapy session this afternoon. Katie, the physical therapist, told me that my walk and gate was looking really good. I’m almost able to stretch my leg so that it is straight…the only thing that seems to be left on my road to recovery.

A lot of times I will forget to take my walker. I just get up and walk…kind of like the “old days”. Katie is often surprised at this and will say “Look, daddy forgot his walker”.

My wife was talking to her boss about how Katie seems to be bothered by the “small stuff”, something we are trying to have her filter out. She said that her daughter was the same way when they were bringing her up.
