Day #2856 (Tue., Oct. 31, 2017) – Trick Or Treat
We hosted the annual Halloween party at our house this year. My wife bought some buffet warmers and serving dishes and we had taco night. She developed a sign-up list so our neighbors could bring various taco ingredients. It was quite well received.
Unfortunately Arnesa could not make it this year. She had dental work done today and her mother was upset at their recent hospital bill. Dzenen decided to dress up as a woman this year, it would have been fun to see that. Adeleta brought the kids, but her husband was working and could not make it.
We were the Fireman Sam family this year. Bobby was Fireman Sam. Katie was Sparky the dalmatian. My wife was Polly the nurse, and I was Jupiter the firetruck. You can see Katie and Bobby all dressed up and ready to go trick or treating in the photo to the right. Holding that pumpkin in her mouth sure makes Katie look sad.
With the kids out side I put on my Fireman Sam mask and walked out of the house with the firetruck/walker. Bobby came right up to me and as soon as I took my mask off he said “Oh, it’s you”. He started to push the walker around a bit, but was soon in the wagon with Omer, enjoying the right and taking in all this sights.
We met around 5:30pm at the usual pick up point. Genevieve and Steve, who we had loaned Halloween costumes to, came later on. Everyone had a great time roaming around the trick or treating. I left for home early, had some tacos, and went to bed. I’m till recovering from the cold/infection/whatever that is making me weak and dizzy.
All in all, a very successful evening.
