When I got up this morning my mother-in-law was already out with little Katie.
When they got back I played a bit of “Hide and Seek” with little Katie. I would hide behind one of the toys on her activity station and poke my head up. She would have this look of “wow…what’s going on”. Eventually she would see me, smile, and run around to catch me.
My wife showed me a new trick that little Katie has learned. Take a look at the toy to the right with the green gate (denoted by the blue arrow). When you pull down the green gate, the toy will make various sounds. When my wife showed it to little Katie this morning she immediately pulled down the green gate…
When we started to eat breakfast this morning little Katie could see us from the Activity Station. I would wave and say “Hi Boo Boo Boo”. She would squeal, but eventually start to cry. She wants to eat breakfast with the grownups.
I fed little Katie some sweet potato and carrot “mush” this morning. She was more interested in kicking my hands than she was in eating…
We had another Skype session with my mother-in-law this afternoon. We showed her how I played hide-and-seek and paddycake with little Katie.
My mother-in-law found a new trick when feeding little Katie. If you put a toy way above her head she will open her mouth when she looks at it. You can then cram a spoonful of “mush” in…
Little Katie had a record amount of oatmeal this evening…1 1/2 ounces. She usually has 1 oz.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
————————————
1) Little Katie will open her mouth if you dangle a toy over her head.
