I went to Whole Foods and got goat’s milk this morning. I’m gradually getting back into the swing of things and starting to do little errands.
This afternoon I went to Lowe’s to get some aluminum to hold my laptop screen up. One of the guys there, Tom in flooring, was very helpful to me. Instead of having to buy a hacksaw he suggested we use a bolt cutter to see if it would do the job in cutting it to size. It worked great. I told him that I would call up his boss and see if I can’t get him a raise.
While at Lowe’s this afternoon I got a couple of presents for the kids. I got a toy tool chest for Bobby (see photo to the left). The tools are actually smaller versions of the adult tools so I’m sure he will love it. Hopefully, it will mean he will keep my tools alone. I also got a birdhouse kit for Katie. She has been mentioning that we need to build a birdhouse from time-to-time.
I told Katie that she needed to create a card for Susan, who has been taking her to school while I have been recovering. My wife also plans to get her a present. It’s the least that we can do to repay her for her kindness.
