Day #2882 (Sun., Nov. 26, 2017) – Substitute “Nerf” Gun
I made some buckwheat this morning and Katie really didn’t like it. It usually has milk in it, but I made it with water. As she was trying to complain and say that she didn’t like it her voice is so quiet you can’t understand what she is saying.
Bobby seems to be making guns out of everything and anything he can get his hands on these days. A hammer, a toy golf club, etc. He pretends to be shooting zombies and will chase the cats to their horror.
On the way to the gym this afternoon I stopped off at the Wal-Mart to check out the various Nerf guns (see photo to the left). There are many different types and sizes, but they are all too powerful for Bobby. They will shoot their various balls and darts from 15-25 feet! I decided to stop off at the Dollar Store and got a cheap alternative. A $1 gun that shoots out a little yellow “nerf-like” ball. It should keep happy for a bit. I also picked up a sheriff gun, holster and badge set.
Katie is really into the “Magic Treehouse” series of books these days. It is great as we will do anything to promote her reading and love of books.
