Day #2884 (Tue., Nov. 28, 2017) – Gekko Figure And Car
I took both Katie and Helen to school this morning. Helen told us a bit about her trip to Europe and how the GPS system on their car had an accent. She asked Katie if she wanted to hear her British or Southern accent. Katie said neither.
We gave Bobby the Gekko PJ Masks figure and car that came in the mail (see photo to the right). Bobby coaxed me down onto the floor to play with him. I was Gekko and he was, of course, Cat Boy (his favorite). I pretended to race the cars along the floor and when Bobby’s Cat Boy car hit an obstacle he got very upset. He kept saying “You hit my Cat Car”. My wife and I have never seen him this upset. Obviously, he can deeply express his views when he is upset, a good skill to have.
We found some videos on “The Magic Treehouse” on YouTube this evening. We are reluctant to share this with Katie as she might just watch these instead of reading the books. It is much more important that she read the books and improve her reading skills.
