Day #2897 (Mon., Dec. 11, 2017) – Dr. Homan Is Leaving

Well, Katie is sick yet again this morning. Another day home from school. My wife took her to see Dr. Homan who examined her and said that she didn’t have strep throat.
We learned that Dr. Homan is leaving soon. His wife will be furthering her education at either Florida State University or Vanderbilt University. Either way, he will not be Katie or Bobby’s doctor anymore. My wife was teasing Arnesa and saying that we were considering moving to Florida so that he could continue to be our kids’ doctor. She said we had better not…she will miss us.
My eye is still bothering me so I went to the optometrist on the way home from work today. She told me that the eye injury I had a week or so ago had not totally healed. Apparently, when you open your eyes when you get up you can rip the area that has healed during the night. Go figure. She gave me more drops and said that if things did not improve in a couple of days to go back and see her again.
