Today is the day of the Chinese Festival, which was held at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill. Katie will be performing this afternoon. Since Bobby got up late this morning my wife decided to take both the kids and I would come later.
Katie was set to perform her Chinese song with the rest of her class at 1 pm, but Bobby was acting up so my wife asked me to come early. I parked the car and had to walk to the food court, where Katie was learning how to hold and move a large dragon puppet with other kids. It was really hard to keep Bobby contained. Jui Lan and Mike stopped by to say hi.
Soon it was time for Katie’s concert. We were able to find some seats near in the back row of the auditorium, but Bobby was not interested in sitting still. When we tried to contain him he threw some applesauce all over the place. I, fortunately, had some tissues to help clean up the place.
I tried to video Katie’s performance and was able to get most of it (see photo to the left), but the audio was marred by Bobby’s fussiness. When the performance was over I drove Bobby home to put him to bed while Katie stayed at the festival with Katie.
I tried to put Bobby to sleep but he would not have anything to do with it. He was just not tired. I fed him and tried to sleep with him on two separate occasions.
When my wife got home close to 6 pm we were both up. No nap for Bobby means an early evening to bed for the entire family.
