Day #3003 (Tue., Mar. 27, 2018) – Bobby … Where Are The Remotes?

2018-03-26 - Into CandyWe asked Bobby what he did with the remotes in the bedroom this morning and he has no idea. He just keeps saying that he hid them, but he cannot seem to take us to where.

Bobby got into the candy we got for Halloween last year (see photo to the left). The next logical step after finding it is to throw it all on the floor, right?

Katie is going with a bunch of other children to Marbles museum in downtown Raleigh today. She told me later this evening that the best part of the trip was being with her friend Zoe.

We found the remotes. Bobby put them into one of the side flaps in the luggage.

As I was swimming in the O2 pool this evening I came up with some possible ideas on how to keep Bobby out of the bedrooms.

1) Put door knobs with locks on the doors. We can put two keys on the shelf just over his head. The one towards the back will be the one that works the lock…but he won’t see that one. He will be satisfied (hopefully) that the first key will work…even though it won’t. If it gets to the stage where he is able to figure out what’s going on, we can always switch up the doorknobs so that the key that used to work there won’t anymore.

2) Another option is to have two chains on each door that is joined by a combination lock. Hopefully, it will be a while before he is able to work a combination lock. If he does figure it out, then we could always switch up the combinations locks as they are detachable from the chains that are affixed to the door.

Bobby figured out how to get into the bedroom via the other door. He just created a tunnel through the stuff that was hiding it. He is very persistent.
