Bobby told me that she sang a “marching song” while at school today. I didn’t get any more details so I cannot relay which one.
Bobby woke up at 3:10 PM and my wife took him to pick Katie up from her piano lesson. Once she had both kids in the car she took them to see the Sisters’ Garden. Katie started screaming that she just read a book about it at Ms. Laura’s! Centenarian sisters Barbara and Bernice Stiles have lived and gardened together since 1978. They all enjoyed beautiful tulips and azaleas and then headed over to the end of the street to look at the Gimghoul Castle (The Order of Gimghoul is a collegiate secret society headquartered at Gimghoul Castle and founded in 1889).
This evening my wife went to a meeting of the Mandarin Chinese program at Katie’s school. She told me afterwards that this meeting was a lot less “volatile” than the previous meeting. There is a lot of tension on whether Glenwood will become a magnet school next year. Local parents whose kids attend regular class at Glenwood are not too pleased.
While my wife was away I tended to both Katie and Bobby. We spent a bit of time making cardboard cutouts (see photo to the right). We had detachable clothing made from construction paper. Katie made the lady’s hat and the dog (with the play toy in the mouth that looks suspiciously like one of our cats I might add). I gave the kids some ring pops and made microwave popcorn as a bit of a treat. When Bobby lost interest we gravitated to the living room where the kids danced a bit, played with the robotic arm, and settled in to watch the movie “Trolls”.
