My wife is busy studying so no Skype with my mom today. We usually use her PC and it is occupied to the hilt. I did call my mom up and we chatted a bit about how much little Katie is growing.
Little Katie had her first trip to a Mongolian Grill this afternoon. As usual she loves all the new sights and sounds. There were a couple of kids in the table next to us…so that occupied her time as well.
There is a circular hole on the Activity Station that little Katie will put her sippy cup in one day. For now, it is the perfect fit for a bowling pin (see photo to the left) from her bowling kit toy. She loves to pry it out of the hole and put it into her mouth. Dinner is served!!!
My wife and mother-in-law had some shopping to do today so I drove little Katie around the parking lot til they were done. She slept for the first 30 minutes, then woke up. When she got a bit restless I started to sing “This Old Man“. I would pause after every line until she would say “huh”, and then proceed. For example: “This old man he played one” … “huh” … “He played knickknack on his thumb” … “huh” … <etc>. This went on for quite a while (til this old man was up til 10) at which point I was worn out. It’s much easier to just say “huh” than it is to figure out what this old man would play knicknack on or with…
