Day #3013 (Fri., Apr. 6, 2018) – Dolly Parton Book Club
I bought a large thermos via Amazon recently. I can create a large batch of soup and bring it to work in this thermos and it will stay hot all day. Sure beats having to walk downstairs and microwave a bowl when I want one. It’s at my desk and ready to go!
Helen’s dad took her to Glenwood this morning so it was only Katie and me on the drive to school.
My wife has signed up for Dolly Parton’s Book Club. I guess her father was a big advocate of reading and now that she is “rich” she wants to give back. She will send children of Bobby’s age books to read. As you can see in the photo to the right, he took his book “The Little Engine That Could” to bed with him at naptime.
My wife has expressed an interest in getting a dog. She has always wanted a German Shepherd and with the kids getting older it looks like this time is gradually approaching. The only problem is, they take a lot of care. Katie is big on wanting animals, but it remains to be seen if the chores will not outweigh the thought of having a dog when the time comes. Bobby, of course, would love a dog and the cats would appreciate having something else around the house for him to chase after. We’ll see…
