They have started up a chess club at Glenwood. It meets every Friday afternoon and in effect is an extension of their math class. Katie is very excited about it and it would be good for us as a family to all play chess together one day.
This morning my wife and I met with Sharon. We dropped both Katie and Bobby off at Arnesa’s in the morning. We primarily discussed Katie, and how to motivate her to do chores like cleaning up her bedroom. Sharon suggested created a chart and giving Katie stickers for each task she accomplishes.
After meeting with Sharon my wife took Katie, Bobby and the Bosnian girls to a science festival near UNC in Chapel Hill (see photo to the right). I dropped them off in the van and came back in an hour to pick Bobby up to take him home for his nap. He sang all the way home and I had a hard time putting him to bed. He finally fell asleep at 3 pm.
We needed a lot of groceries this evening. Both Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. I picked up Wild Kratt’s “Fruit Loops” at Whole Foods as they were on sale. Regularly over $3 a box, now $1.79. Katie loved them.
