Today is Mother’s Day. We usually don’t eat out in restaurants on Mother’s Day, and even more so with my leg in the current condition.
Another passport kit for Katie came in the mail…this time it is Australia (see photo to the left). What a great way for Katie, and Bobby when he gets older, to learn about the world.
I walked all the way to the end of our street and back this afternoon. It was a distance of about 700 ft x 2. Getting there…
My wife ordered a pool from Amazon that has hard sides. The hope is that it will last longer than the inflatable versions we have been buying up til now. It cost about $100 for the basic pool. She also ordered a pad to protect the underside and a cover to keep the leaves and debris out. In the meantime, out came the sprinklers this afternoon.
We were talking to our neighbor about dogs. Apparently, their dog, Ginger, is not allowed on the couch. My wife and I don’t have a problem with that. As far as I am concerned a dog is to be enjoyed and have fun with. We can worry about getting fine furniture and fixing up the house when the kids go to college.
Katie wants to sleep with the dog when we get it. We’ll have to see how that settles with Bobby. Maybe one night with Katie and the other night with Bobby? Lots of drama to come…
