The photo to the left shows a lovely view of the lake across the road from our house. The tree is in bloom and you can clearly see the footbridge in the background. What a lovely setting for little Katie to take a stroll each morning with her mother-in-law.

My wife sent me the following email while I was at work:

Little Katie learned a new game today. I was sitting on a futon with my legs up. Little Katie was in her activity station. She would come, tickle my foot, make me laugh, then go to the side so that my laptop is not in the way, look at me and we would laugh together. She did that about 10 times or so…

Currently little Katie has three solid-food meals a day. The first one is vegetables (sweet potatoes + carrots, sometimes with a little bit of sweet peas or broccoli). She eats about 2 oz and it looks like I’ll have to increase that amount soon. The second meal is an all-time favorite – fruits! She eats about 4 oz of pureed fruits. I usually put a little bit of banana, apple, a plum and sometimes – some avocado. Today little Katie will try some blueberries for the first time. I haven’t decided yet if they’ll be mixed with banana only, or I will put some apple or pear too. Cantaloupe, mango and grapes are waiting for their turn too. For dinner little Katie gets hot cereal either oatmeal or buckwheat. She loves them both and eats about 2.5 oz.

In a few weeks little Katie will turn 8 months and we’ll get her some baby yogurt (Yo Baby from Stonyfield): I have chosen this one because it has no sugar, just CULTURED PASTEURIZED ORGANIC WHOLE MILK, PECTIN, VITAMIN D3. CONTAINS OUR EXCLUSIVE BLEND OF SIX LIVE ACTIVE CULTURES: S. THERMOPHILUS, L. BULGARICUS, L. ACIDOPHILUS, BIFIDUS, L. CASEI, AND L. RHAMNOSUS:

I’ll add some berries or bananas to it myself.
