Day #3102 (Wed., Jul 4, 2018) – Independence Day

2018-07-04 - FireworksToday is American Independence Day. We’re going to stay close to home today, but venture out tonight to see the fireworks at the UNC stadium.

We have to be careful of Maple eating everything she contacts. She was munching on Katie’s plastic headphones today.

Bobby enjoyed some celery on my plate today. He said that he didn’t like the hummus.

This evening we drove the van to downtown Chapel Hill to see the fireworks display inside the UNC stadium. We parked at the parking lot on the 5th floor. I took the elevator. Bobby was talking to the policemen as we were lining up to get into the stadium. One of them gave Bobby a dog coin as his partner is a dog. He’s part of a K9 unit.

The fireworks were quite spectacular. This is the first time that Bobby ever saw a display like this. We used to take Katie when she was very small.

Since we were on the 5th floor of the parking garage it took a long time to get out of the garage and get home.
