Day #3106 (Sun., Jul 8, 2018) – Off To Carolina Beach
We drove to Carolina Beach for our vacation this afternoon. The plan was that Bobby would sleep in the van. He slept for 45 minutes, not nearly enough.
We stopped off at Wallace? for a bathroom break at the McDonalds/Service Station. I got a strawberry shortcake for everyone in the van.
When we arrived at Carolina Beach we met Arnesa and Dzenen at Kure beach and together we went back to Mary’s cottage, where we will be staying for the week.
This evening we ate out with Dzenen and Arnesa and baby Ayra. We had two pizzas at Vic’s Italian Restaurant. Bobby was quite unruly and even stuck his finger in Dzenen’s water. He had never done that before.
Later this evening I went to the beach with Katie and Maple (see photo to the right). My wife stayed at home with Bobby as punishment for him being so unruly at the restaurant. The plan was initially that I would stay home with Bobby, but he liked the idea of playing with me too much to be a punishment for him.
When I got back I went to the 24-hour Food Lion down the road for supplies. Dzenen came along as well. The main things we needed were bottled water and a family-sized lasagna for dinner tomorrow.
