Day #3189 (Sat., Sept. 29, 2018) – Music Festival
Violet is a girl who was Katie’s former classmate at the preschool Bobby now attends. Her family has an Oktoberfest music festival every year and we all went this evening (see photo to the right).
They have a stage in their back yard and a “bar” and “music studio” in the house. The bratworst sausages were fantastic. We brought along two tubs of Hilda’s potato salad…that was our contribution.
I got to meet the grandparents…Terry and his wife. They spent a lot of time in Thunderbay, Ontario where he was an artist during the Vietnam War era.
Bobby changed shirts with Violet’s brother. Not sure why, but we had to change them again before we left for home.
The highlight of the event, other than the music that is, was a drone operated by a neighbor. The kids got a great kick out of chasing it.
We left for home around 7 pm and stopped by the Halloween house in Southern Village along the way. They have not put the Halloween decorations up yet.
