The photo to the left shows the sign that Katie and Alma put up at the end of the driveway yesterday to advertise their makeup business.
This afternoon we bundled up the kids and took them to Southern Village to see the Halloween decorations. The guy who we usually can count on to have quite the Halloween display didn’t have anything out. Is it too early in the season for him? Has he moved? At any rate, there were lots of other houses in Southern Village that we really decked out. They didn’t seem to be as enthusiastic about Halloween in previous years. What has changed?
I mentioned to my wife that the golf course in Meadowmont might have quite a few decorated houses, so off we went. We even stopped by Tom Fitzpatrick’s house on the way. Nothing compared to what we saw in Southern Village. It seems to be the “go to” area in Chapel Hill as far as Halloween decorations go.
On the way home we stopped off at Harris-Teeter in Meadowmont to pick up something for dinner. We got a cheese pizza from the deli that you had to cook at home and a rotisserie chicken as well. Oh, and as far as Maple is concerned we got a “flat” duck toy that honks when you squeeze the head.
