Bobby was up crying at 4:30 am this morning. I went into his room to comfort him. He was sideways on his bed with the covers off. I turned on his music, gave him his giraffe, and covered him up. Soon he was back to sleep.
I drove to the Dollar Store this morning. The plan was to pick up a glider so that he could enjoy it in the park. Well, there was no glider, but he did pick out a police kit with a gun, walkie-talkie, and badge. I picked up some bubbles for him to enjoy at the park. We then drove to the park to play with Arnesa, Ayra and Claudia.
There was a problem at Glenwood so it looks like the French teacher is gone.
This afternoon we bundled up the kids and took them to the N.C. State Fair. We arrived around 4:30 am and left around 7:15 pm. The cans of veggies that I picked up at Food Lion meant that we got in for free this year. This is the first time we have taken the kids during the week, let alone later in the day. They got to see all the lights on the midway attractions.
While at the State Fair the kids got to see the pig races and some Chinese acrobats. They got to ride on the merry-go-round and some monster trucks (see photo to the left). They also got to munch on some fries, fried vegetables, cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream and a candy apple and wash it all down with a large lemonade.
We were home by 8 pm and exhausted.
