4:40am – Little Katie is up and running. I just changed her and she was in no mood for little games or delays. Where’s my mommy and where’s my food… She will take turns quickly trying to look over my shoulders to see if mommy is in her rocking chair. Let the festivities begin!
After eating at the Turkish restaurant last night my mother-in-law said “what’s next”. We decided to take her on a bit of a tour of the downtown area. We live in a small city so there is not too much to really see…but check out those neat statues (photo to the left) of a child’s marching band.
I was working on my laptop in the bedroom this evening when my wife brought little Katie to me. She was sitting beside me on the bed when I came up with the following story:
A chipmunk was going down the road saying “wee wee wee” when she came across a mouse. The mouse asked her why she said “wee wee wee”. The chipmunk thought for a minute, but could not figure out why she said “wee wee wee”, but decided to pose this question to everyone she met.
As she continued down the road she met a cat, then a dog, then a horse, and then a moose. Nobody knew why she said “wee wee wee”. She then came across a wise old man. She decided to ask this question one last time. The man said that he knew… “The reason you say ‘wee wee wee’ is that you are a happy little chipmunk who likes to share. Instead of ‘me me me’ you say ‘we we we’. The chipmunk was so happy. She finally found out why she said ‘we we we’ and went ‘we we we’ all the way home…
Kind of corny, but little Katie loved it and screamed in delight. She especially liked it when I accentuated “we we we”…
