Day #3218 (Sun., Oct. 28, 2018) – Duck Donuts

My wife went to bed for a nap early this morning and I tended to the kids. All three of us did the laundry. I would fold the big clothes and throw the socks onto the floor where Katie and Bobby would sort them. It didn’t work out as well as anticipated as you can well imagine.

2018-10-28 - Duck DonutsWe had Daddy/Daughter Day #74 this afternoon. I took Katie to Duck Donuts. I thought she would like to have a donut with scoop of ice cream on it but she wanted to see the menu. In the end she chose a vanilla rainbow sprinkle with chocolate milk and we got the same one for Bobby for him to enjoy after his nap (see photo to the left). We sat outside on one of the tables and played hangman.

Towards evening we bundled up the kids and took them out to Southern Village to see the Halloween decorations. The house that we depend on every year was not decorated this year…perhaps the guy/family have moved? The kids enjoyed burning some energy off at the Southern Village playground beforehand.

When we got home we quickly made a Jack-O-Lantern out of the pumpkin that we got for free at Spence’s Farm last night. We didn’t carve a pumpkin last year and we have never had a “Jack-O-Lantern” face pumpkin before, so this was quite a “quick” treat.
