Day #3257 (Thu., Dec. 6, 2018) – Daddy/Son Day #4

Today was Daddy/Son Day #4. I gave Bobby the journal, markers, and marker case that I picked up at the Dollar Store the other day (see photo to the left). I also gave him the PJ Masks puzzle I picked up. He played with them for a while, but he really wanted to play with the toy train that was originally Katie’s. Go figure!

I also showed Bobby how to create a slingshot out of a tree branch (that Maple dragged home) and an elastic band. We played with that for a while.

Next stop was Flyleaf Books for storytime. We met Arnesa, Claudia, and Baby Ayra there. The man read some books, but the bubble maker that made teenie tiny bubbles seemed to be a real hit with the kids.

My wife went to a school board meeting to discuss the future of the Chinese Mandarin program at Glenwood. Apparently they decided to wait for a year to make Glenwood totally a magnet school. She didn’t get home til around 11 pm.

I took care of the kids while my wife was away.to school meeting. Katie was trying to do her homework and Bobby was bothering her. She told him “I know that I can’t get you to stop talking so just try to be a bit more quiet”.
