Day #3321 (Fri., Feb. 8, 2019) – Hibernation Day

Today is hibernation day at Bobby’s preschool.  My wife laid his construction pajamas out for him.  Hibernation day is when all the kids get to wear their pj’s to school, and Mary makes pancakes for them.  There is an added bonus in that Friday is also the day in which Luca and Bobby have joined classes.  No problem getting Bobby out the door this morning.

I made sure that Bobby took the black Power Ranger that Frankie lent him on Wednesday.  We saw Frankie with his dad as we were entering the building, so I made sure that Bobby gave it to Frankie, who dutifully put it into his backpack.  The photo to the right shows Bobby & Frankie.

After dropping Bobby off at preschool, and before I went back to pick him up, I stopped off at Wal-Mart to see if they had any Power Ranger figures.  They didn’t…  Hmmm… Wonder what’s up with that?  They seemed to have everything else imaginable.

When I came back to pick Bobby up, both Evan and Luca went back behind the school with him to play.  Bobby was ecstatic!  I got to meet Evan’s dad, who invited me over to his place on Tuesdays when he makes beer so that the kids can have a playdate.  I also got to meet Luca’s mother.  Nice, but very quiet.

Katie’s report card was very good.  We’re a bit confused as I thought that she was struggling with Chinese?  Perhaps this is just the math and English component of the report card?  Time will tell.

I asked Bobby what of the following three he would rather have:

  1.  Blue Race Track (we saw at the Lithuanian Christmas Party).
  2. Black Power Ranger
  3. Red Power Ranger

He said a “Black Power Ranger”, as Frankie is the Red Power Ranger.  I just wanted to get a “heads up” on what he would like for his birthday.
