Day #3442 (Sun., Jun 9, 2019) – False Father’s Day
When I got up this morning Katie and Bobby greeted me and gave me the little “seed gift” that Bobby made in his preschool a few weeks ago (see photo to the left). Happy Father’s Day! It was raining so we decided that we would go out and plant it later.
I mentioned to Katie that I was surprised she did not create a card for me. She seems to create cards for everything under the sun. Why wouldn’t she create one for Father’s Day? She told me that mom told her it was Father’s Day this morning and she didn’t have time to.
I went to Trader Joe’s this evening and the cashier was telling me how busy it was going to be next Sunday as it would be Father’s Day. I discussed this with my wife when I got home and she said that she thought Father’s Day was the second Sunday of every June.
Katie is already making note of what she wants to see and do in Disney World. The question now becomes…what do we do with Maple? Arnesa has offered to feed her…and maybe Katie, Henry and Alma’s mom, can stay with her?
