Day #3459 (Wed., Jun 26, 2019) – New Phone For Daddy
I could not sleep so I got up real early this morning and went to the “Wake & Bake” donut shop near Food Lion. My wife was in bed last night when I got home from the library and got up after I left so she thought I spent the whole night out. My phone broke, so I could not contact her. It keeps trying to turn on and then resets.
Well, I had to go to Verizon and get a new phone. My Note 4 is so old they didn’t have a battery for it, but they said that would probably not work at any rate. The guy tried to sell me the new Note phone at $1000, but in the end I decided to get the A50 at only $15 a month. If I was home I would have gotten one from Amazon, but it bothered my wife that I didn’t have a phone. In the end it will cost me $370… At least I have a phone now…
This evening we all went to the grand opening of the Publix Supermarket at Carolina Beach (see photo to the right). I thought they would be having free samples and really putting on a show, as everyone seems to rave about Publix. Well, it was just another grocery store as it turns out. We did get cherries for $1.49 a pound, and some Strawberry Shortcakes for the kids.
