Day #3482 (Fri., Jul 19, 2019) – Guenther Has A Nail
I took the kids to the Clark pool in Carrboro this morning. This evening Katie told mom that she didn’t want to go swimming, then changed her mind, so we all went back. It’s good to get the swimming out of our system as there is a heat wave planned for this weekend and who knows if all of Carrboro is going to show up at the pool as a result…
Katie R. brought over some swords this afternoon. Wood swords… (see photo to the right). I guess that Henry doesn’t play with them anymore and she thought that Bobby might like them.
Maple has officially switched over from puppy food to adult dog food now.
Guenther came over to our house to play this evening. Katie saw that he found a nail and took it away from him. Guenther got very upset and started to cry. He put up so much of a fuss that his grandmother came and took him home. Katie was upset that people are not going to like her anymore, but her mother and I had a chat with her that she should not fear doing the right thing. What would have happened if Guenther had hurt himself? It’s better to be safe and do the right thing.
