Day #3496 (Fri., Aug 2, 2019) – Southern Village Gym
I took the kids to the tumble gym in Southern Village this morning (see photo to the right). They have open sessions for $4 per half hour, or $8 per hour. We stayed the hour, so for 2 kids it was $16. I texted Arnesa to see if she wanted to join us, but Ayra has a runny nose so they are staying close to home today.
Both kids enjoyed the gym, but when it was time to go home Katie was fine with it and Bobby wanted to stay longer. Katie never really did take too much to gymnastics. She told me that it goes back to the time she was in gymnastics camp and they were forcing her to do things that she did not feel comfortable with.
My wife and I took the two kids to Clark Pool in Carrboro for an hour long dip this evening. We can already see how the days are starting to cool off. Only one more month and the pool will be closed.
Maybe it’s time to take the PS2 out of the basement and give it to the kids. We don’t relish the idea of giving them more computer time, but it’s just sitting there in a box and we might be able to save some money on it…like giving it to the kids for Christmas instead of buying more presents.
