Day #3563 (Tue., Oct. 8, 2019) – Crying About Murren

Bobby threw up last night. He seemed fine this morning so I took him to school. No drama.

I picked him up at 1 pm, and as Gavin is not there behind the school on Tuesdays Bobby played with Graham and Frankie for a bit. Sarah talked to me about supervising Gavin and I said that she and Amy and all the other women could do what they wanted. I’m more interested in protecting Bobby at this stage and don’t have time for any extra projects.

As Bobby and Graham accumulated acorns in the parking lot just before we left (see photo to the right).

Katie was crying about Murren this evening. Apparently something happened at school. I took the opportunity to talk to her about fair weather friends again and how much better it would be to spend time with Natasha and Nulaney and Wyatt, kids who have given her no grief. Fair weather friends are by their nature, fair weather friends and should be treated as such. We don’t have such an issue with Bobby. If you don’t want to play with him, his attitude is “you loss”, and he happily goes about his life. Katie needs to develop more of this approach to life.
