Day #3630 (Sat., Dec. 14, 2019) – 1st Day of Christmas

The Chapel Hill Christmas Parade was this morning. My wife took the kids to it. I dropped them off at Rosemary Street and picked them up about an hour later as parking is always an issue downtown. The kids were at the front of the parade and got lots of candy and a large cookie when they were handed out.

When the parade was over I picked up my wife and kids and we all drove to CiCi’s for a haircut. It was mainly for Bobby, but we also talked Katie into getting a bit of a trim as well. Add my wife and I into the mix, and a tip, and it cost roughly $86 for all of us.

My wife too Katie to Chinese class this afternoon so I put Bobby to bed. He had a real short nap today. He didn’t wear a diaper to bed today either.

Helen stopped by for a playdate after Chinese class.

This evening we celebrated the “1st Day of Christmas”. I gave the kids the Christmas Cookie Kit that I picked up at Trader Joe’s the other day. You can see the cookies they made in the photo to the left. They each got to eat one after dinner this evening. The rest of the cookies went onto the tree and will be consumed at a later date. Hopefully Maple won’t get to them first.
