Day #3643 (Fri., Dec. 27, 2019) – Katie’s Short Story
I went to WalGreens this afternoon to pick up the Disney World Photo Mugs that I ordered last week (see photo to the right). I was hoping that they would come in time for Christmas, but it was not to be.
One of the mugs is of Katie and Bobby watching the Disney World Parade. The other is a collage of various photos of our vacation.
Katie’s short story is starting to shape up. I took a look at it this afternoon and it was basically a picture book. There was a picture and a sentence or two next to each one of them. I had her go back and add some more depth and forget about the drawings for now. We will only have a drawing or two in the short story, if any. The key to a short story, at least from what I can tell, is to have emotional depth…and Katie can do that if she applies herself.
