Day #3696 (Tue., Feb. 18, 2020) – Mr. Banks
We kept Bobby at home today as he complained of sore eyes last night and has a discharge in them this morning. We have been giving him drops all day.
My wife has a fever today and is home sick too. I’m okay externally, but I seem to sleep and sleep and sleep to get up and sleep some more. This has been the strangest two months of my life “sickness-wise” with all this family flu and illnesses one after another.
Bobby threw an object and hit Katie in the forehead this afternoon. I had a session with Katie to tell her that she has to stop this “victim” mentality and a session with Bobby to tell him how wrong this is to throw things at people. He apologized, but I’m not sure how far these talks “sink” in. We have got to stop him from throwing things. He’s becoming like the dreaded “G*v*n” at his school…
Katie has been using the software WeVideo as of late to create videos. She has made one about Canada that she wants to show me.
I’m thinking of a “Green Screen” video to create for Bobby’s birthday. Maybe an effect where Legos are falling from the sky. Just thinking of potential “whats” at this stage.
Katie had a session with Mr. Banks, her “gifted” child instructor. He takes her to the library for special English education as she is an advanced reader. She told me that they are making up sea animals. She has created a dolphin with turtle flippers.
I went to the Dollar Store this evening and got 15 Lego “Base Plates” for the kids to build their Lego buildings on during Bobby’s birthday party (see photo to the right).
