Day #3798 (Sat., May 30, 2020) – The Escape Room

Today we had Daddy/Daughter Day #93 and Daddy/Son Day #23 combined. I decided that I would create an “Escape Room” for the kids and have them answer a series of clues before they could come out.

The location was Katie’s room (see photo to the right). There were various clues and they had my wife’s phone and I had my phone. We texted back and forth to get further clues or clarification so that they could follow the leads and eventually solve the puzzle. What was the answer? In order to get out of the Escape Room they simply had to say “Just Say Please”, but these three words were spelled on three different index cards that were part of clues within the Escape Room itself. It took the kids over 30 minutes to figure it out, and they had lots of fun.

Katie took a video of them going through their various clue finding ventures. Bobby had to get out of the Escape Room via “Secret Pass” (i.e.: daddy’s permission) to use the bathroom.

All in all, the kids had fun, which was the main thing anyway…
