Day #3825 (Fri., Jun 26, 2020) – Hockey Sticks
The hockey sticks arrived. At least the two small sticks for Katie and Bobby did (see photo to the right). For some reason, the ball that was advertised to come with the set didn’t arrive. It might be too much hassle to return them and get another set in exchange.
Bobby and I played in the driveway for a bit. We used a tennis ball, and in fact, I personally think a tennis ball is better. It doesn’t hurt as much if you get hit with it and bounces nicely. We always played with a tennis ball when we played street hockey as a kid. One of the big problems with playing with a tennis ball is Maple. Maple thinks that she is part of the game and will go and retrieve the ball before the other person gets a chance to get it.
Bobby was getting a bit upset as he was missing the puck so I had to show him how to stop the ball first, and then hit the ball.
Murren’s mom wants to have a Facetime session between Murren and Katie to resolve the spat that they are having.
