Day #268 (Tue., Sept. 28, 2010) – The Toy Guitar
2:35am – I just changed little Katie and gave her to mommy for her “First Breakfast” (as per “Lord of the Rings” terminology)…
You know, you have to love that toy guitar (see photo to the left) that my wife picked up at the consignment sale. If you click on one of the buttons on the fretboard (shown by the red arrow) it will play a song, such as “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen. If you pluck on one of the strings (shown by the blue arrow) it will play some lead guitar that compliments the song being played. If you jiggle the “whammy bar” (shown by the orange arrow) it will add those sound effects to the mix. What a great deal…for only $2!!!
I put our second car seat in my Camry this evening. I will have the guy at Rex Hospital install it tomorrow. Hopefully it will be able to be installed in the center of the back seat as my Camry is bigger than my wife’s car.
My wife and I have both noticed that little Katie loves books. She can be surrounded by all kinds of toys…but she will go for the books. Let’s hope that this love of books follows her as she grows up.
