Katie had Chinese class this afternoon so I tended to Bobby so that he would not be loud and disturb them. Sometimes he will just quietly play with his Legos…this was not one of those days.
The first thing I did was take Bobby outside to test out his bow and arrow. I was almost able to get his little plastic arrow to reach a tree branch that I’m thinking of attaching a birdhouse to. I found a “Build A Birdhouse” kit from Lowe’s that I’m thinking of doing with the kids.
Next on the agenda was showing Bobby the puzzle of the “Fox, Rabbit, and Grain (or carrots I suppose)”. You can see Bobby working on it in the photo to the right. The man in the boat can take only one animal with him and needs to get all three animals from one island to the other. If he leaves the rabbit with the fox, the fox will eat the rabbit. If he leaves the rabbit with the grain, the rabbit will eat the grain. The key is this:
- Take rabbit to the island.
- Take the fox to the island.
- Take the rabbit back with you.
- Take the grain to the island.
We then played with one of his “sticker books”…a “hand me down” from Katie.
