We don’t want the kids to spend all Christmas vacation on screens, so we gave them a couple of toys today to keep them occupied. Katie got a knitting kit, and Bobby got a race track (see photo to the left).
My wife showed Katie some basic knitting stitches, and Katie played for a few minutes and did a few stitches, but soon lost interest.
Bobby spent quite a bit of time with his toy. We got out the additional compatible track and cars that Bobby got a while back. I showed Bobby how to set up the track so that the cars could collide in the intersection. Such fun for a boy… 🙂 Bobby enjoys turning on the car’s music… It has an irritating song that it sings and plays… More fun for a boy… 🙂
It’s Saturday, so Katie had another Chinese class this afternoon. Without someone to play with, Bobby was looking for something to do, and did today’s Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar figure without me (I was taking a nap). Unfortunately he got the days mixed up, and did a figure that was planned for the future. We will adjust accordingly…
