Day #4002 (Sun., Dec. 20, 2020) – Katie’s Piano Recital
Katie had a piano recital this afternoon. My wife moved the piano closer to the fireplace for a better look on Zoom (see photo to the right). One benefit of this move is the natural lighting from the big living room window. No need to move the spotlights out of the bedroom to assist in the lighting this afternoon.
The kids are off school for two weeks so we are working out ways to limit their screen time. My wife and I decided that there would be no screen till the evening, unless the kids did chores, in which case they would get their laptops and computers earlier.
I mentioned that it would be a good evening to go see the Christmas lights in Southern Village this evening as it’s only a couple of days till Christmas and all the lights would be out. We asked Katie and her reply was “I thought we already went to see the lights”. This was expected… When we went to see the lights a few weeks ago Bobby wanted to go home… The kids are growing up and the magic of Christmas is starting to wear off…
