Day #4020 (Thu., Jan. 7, 2021) – The Drum Kit
We put in another Aldi order this morning. The kids are really into the Aldi version of “Fruit Loops”. As Katie was having some this morning I mentioned “Eating healthy I see…”. She laughed.
The drum kit has arrived (see photo to the left) and my wife spent a lot of time assembling it this afternoon while watching news programs about the storming of the Capitol yesterday. My wife’s brother, who is a drummer, approved this particular drum kit after rejecting the $80 kit. This one cost close to $200.
Unlike most Lego kits, this drum kit doesn’t have the best instructions. I was telling my wife about the time we were kids, and it seemed few of the toys we got needed to be assembled. You just took them out of the box and played with them. Sometimes they needed batteries.
It will be interesting to see who takes to the drum kit more, Katie or Bobby. We are certainly going to have to limit the time that they play on it. No early morning playing when you first get up. No playing while daddy is napping…
