Day #290 (Wed., Oct. 20, 2010) – Little Katie’s Version of A RFK Quote

Little Katie slept for a 5.5 hour stretch last night – the longest stretch of “downed chipmunk” we have had in quite a few weeks.

My wife told me that when she put her to bed this afternoon she could hear some “knocking sounds” via the monitor. She knew that there were no toys in the crib, so what was making that sound? We she checked on her she saw little Katie sitting up with a pacifier in her hand knocking it on the crib.

Little Katie ate ALL her veggies+ yolk today…the first time in about 3+ weeks. No fussy mussy…just “mouth open – food gone” mode…

My wife thinks that little Katie has a new tooth. This could account for all the “fussy mussy” we have been dealing with as of late.

Another one of little Katie’s favorite toys these days is the “little doggie” (see photo to the left). It makes noises when you move it around. I was moving it all over the place this evening and touching little Katie on the leg with the dog when I was done. She let out squeals of laughter.

When I am in the playyard with little Katie making a tower out of blocks I’m often reminded of that quote by Robert Kennedy… “I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” Little Katie’s version is, “I see that tower of blocks and things and say why is it there…I had better destroy it”.
