Maple spotted a deer in our front yard this afternoon. She slowly stalked the game. The fact that her new fence was providing a barrier did not prevent her from running after it.
I’m no longer going to get the “freezes” at Harris-Teeter (see photo to the right), just on special occasions. The kids just go through them too quickly and don’t leave room in their tummies for “nutritional food”.
Bobby is becoming more and more energetic the older he gets. The pandemic has been tough for him. Not only is he secluded, away from his friends, but he can’t join activities that would help him burn off his boundless energy. He was trouble this afternoon, so my wife sent him to the pool. This helped out tremendously. He was much more relaxed once he got back and had a bath. By the way, today Bobby was kicking with his feet (he used to only use his arms to swim).
Once the pandemic is over, we will search around for an activity for Bobby to attend. We are currently thinking of karate, tae kwon do, gymnastics, or soccer. I think tae kwon do will win out as they have tailormade their program to appeal to kids, and boys in particular. For example, what young kid who wants to be a superhero has not dreamed of breaking a board in half?
My wife has run out of clothes hangers for all the kids’ clothes that she is getting ready for the consignment sale this fall. She found someone on one of the online groups she is a member of who has some they were planning on throwing out. My wife found a bunch more in Katie’s bedroom.
