Day #4208 (Wed., Jul 14, 2021) – Toy Plane Collection

The kids didn’t have any electronics till dinner tonight, so they had to find other activities to occupy their time. Bobby wanted me to push him on the swing, so I obliged. He likes it when I push him as I am able to push him so hard that he can pick the leaves off the tree closer to our house.

While I was outside pushing Bobby I took the opportunity to teach him the x11 multiplication table. The easy way is to take the number that you want to multiply by 11, and change the digits of the 11 with it… For example, to multiply 11 x 6, you take the 11, and replace the digits with the number, in this case 6. Changing the digits in 11 to 6, gives you 66, so 11 x 6 = 66. After I taught him this, he was able to go all the way from 11 x 1 to 11 x 9. We went inside so he could impress his mom with this new skill…

Bobby received his toy plane collection via Amazon this evening (see photo to the left). I took the opportunity to show him the difference between “prop” jobs, and jets. I put him to bed this evening so we played a bit with them before we nodded off…
