Day #4248 (Mon., Aug. 23, 2021) – First Day Of School
Today is the first day of school for the kids (see photo to the left), even though there is no schoolwork ready for online students. Katie starts 6th grade and Bobby starts 1st grade today!
My wife stopped by Glenwood this morning to pick up Bobby’s school iPad. They would not even let her inside the building. Instead, they brought everything to the van.
Katie will be getting a new “up to date” Chromebook for her classwork this year. There are more kids at Phillips Middle School, so it might take a while to actually get it.
Instruction is supposed to start in three weeks…
There was a problem today with the school bus situation at Glenwood. They cannot find enough bus drivers. As a result, the bus that was supposed to leave at 2:45 pm left at 4:30 pm. Those poor kids. If this situation continues we will be taking Bobby to and from school.
