Day #4283 (Mon., Sept. 27, 2021) – 1960s Home Movies

The photo to the right shows the kids at their favorite location yesterday. Playing video games at the dining room table, munching on Happy Meals…

I had some energy this afternoon to wander into the basement and try to clean it up a bit. The boxes I sent from Nova Scotia back in 2013 were in the bathroom, so I proceeded to go through those. Low and behold, I found the double 8mm film footage from the 60s on a bunch of CD’s in one of the boxes. Now to upload those to the cloud so that I will never lose them again.

I put Bobby to bed this evening. We proceeded to tell jokes and riddles. For example, why did the chicken cross the road, etc. I told him that I found the footage of when I was a little boy so I could now show him about what I looked like when I was his age. I told him of how I broke my collar bone when I was 3 years old, and demonstrated about not being able to move my neck from side to side.

What a blessing it is to have this 8mm footage from the 60’s. I will probably show the kids of bit of it at a time, little by little on Daddy/Daughter and Daddy/Son Days. It’s just too much to ask them at this young age to sit down and watch all these home movies.
