Day #4286 (Thu., Sept. 30, 2021) – Simba Dies

While my wife and Katie were out on their evening walk with Maple, they came across a copperhead snake (see photo to the right). They tend to come out in the evening to soak up the heat from the pavement. It’s too hot for them during the day. Apparently they try to avoid humans, which is a good thing. Apparently Maple is scared of them as well now, which is great. I don’t want to have many more $1000+ vet bills for anti-venum.

Simba, the dog of our friends in Charlotte, died. It was quite old.

I made some chocolate pudding this evening. As I was eating it Bobby said that he wanted some. I gave some to Katie and him even though it was late… We try to avoid giving them chocolate at night.

Katie mentioned that her favorite subject this year is math. This is probably due to the fact that she loves her math teacher. Apparently she gives the students some assignments before the actual class in which she teaches a subject. This is a good thing, as it means that the students will be familiar with the topic by the time she gets around to lecturing on it.
