Day #301 (Sun., Oct. 31, 2010) – Halloween Chipmunk
I went to Trader Joe’s this morning to pick up supplies. The usual…organic bananas, spinach, and eggs for little Katie. Milk, cheese and bread for the rest of us. People were dressed up in Halloween costumes. I was checked out by a huge banana…
This evening, around 6pm, little Katie got up from her nap. We promptly dressed her up in her “Chipmunk Outfit” and headed out to see the world (you can see her tail in the photo to the right). There is a nearby neighborhood in which the neighbors bring their chairs out to the end of the driveways and greet the revelers and hand out treats. We took little Katie there and they all adored her…and she returned by staring them down… We then did some “trick-or-treating” at the surrounding houses.
Next stop was Tom and Christine’s house. We put our masks on but they knew right away who we were. Katie was starting to get tired and fussy so we didn’t stay long.
By the time we got home little Katie was hungry and tired. We promptly fed her and put her to bed. Little Katie has just experienced her first Halloween…
