Today is Day #7 of the Advent Calendars. Katie received a Genshin Impact necklace and Bobby received the “purple man”? (i.e.: from “Five Nights at Freddy’s). Today is the first time that they needed to be reminded about their advent calendars…usually Bobby can’t wait. They proceeded to make a Lego “stage” for all the characters that Bobby had been receiving.
The photo to the right shows the molasses cookies that the kids like so much.
I have been having a sore instep for the past few weeks. I thought it was a splinter from our dining room floors. Yesterday, after my wife could not see it on my foot, we decided to make an appointment with the foot specialist. She saw me this afternoon and knew right away what it was…callouses called Porokeratosis. She snipped away at them and voila, good as new! It’s good we went to a specialist…heaven knows if another doctor would have known this. Sure felt like a splinter!
The inside of my knee is bothering me. The doctor suggested I get some “voltarin”. I think I might have strained it showing my wife the bottom of my foot the other day. I sure hope that it’s fine and I will be up and running for our trip to the zoo this weekend.
Katie has been doing so well in math class that the teacher will let her go early! Here’s the email that she sent my wife yesterday:
Hi Laura,
So glad to hear that Katie is enjoying Math class this year! She really is the highlight of my ALA class, I can always count on her for doing her work and participating.
What middle school does Katie go to in person? I know the ALA students are completely caught up with my Culbreth students, but another middle school could be going at a different pace. I’d be happy to reach out to the math teachers at her assigned school to see where Katie might fall. Let me know.
Thanks!
Hayley
We feel sorry for Bobby having to sit through his online class! His teacher is so “boring”. Oh well, only a few more weeks and they will be able to go back to “regular” school.
