Day #4361 (Tue., Dec. 14, 2021) – Middle School Concert

My wife took Katie clothes shopping this morning. Katie has been looking forward to this for quite a while, not only to get out, but to get new clothes as well.

I took the opportunity to have Daddy/Son Day #44 with Bobby. We drove out to Walmart near Pittsboro so he could pick up a Christmas present (something I promised him once we was fully vaccinated). He chose a Lego Spiderman kit. It cost $70+, but I was surprised to see that it was even more expensive on Amazon. We then drove to Chick-Fil-A near Hwy #40 so he could have a kid’s meal, then to the basket chairs to play hide-and-seek. We were thinking of stopping off again at Chick-Fil-A for an ice cream, but by that point the lineup was huge. We could not even find a parking spot for the car. We decided to go to Harris-Teeter for Ben & Jerry’s, but Bobby decided that he wanted some chocolate-covered ice cream cones instead, so we picked up those. We then went home to assemble the Lego Spiderman set.

This evening we all went to Phillips Middle School for an orchestra concert, which Katie will be joining in roughly a month. We got to see Mattie (who went to Glenwood with Katie) and her parents. Bobby enjoyed running around the school and climbing the trees afterward.
