Day #4434 (Fri., Feb. 25, 2022) – New Basketball Hoop

I drove Bobby to Glenwood this morning. On the way we made up “Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road Jokes”… 🙂 For example, “Why did the chicken cross the road?”, because “a fox was chasing it”. Then, “Why did Maple cross the road?”, because “it was chasing the fox that was chasing the chicken”. Crazy stuff like that… 🙂
We also talked about what a “yellow arrow” means on a traffic light. I asked Bobby what it meant when you didn’t see any light? It meant that it was time to get the light fixed… He laughed out loud at that one… 🙂
I picked up Bobby this afternoon and he told me that he worked on the lion’s tail in art class today. He told me that Andrew, who is a bit older than him, said they could bring the lion home in two years. He said that this could be so because Andrew doesn’t lie too much… 🙂
Bobby made a UFO with rockets in Mrs. Zayad’s class today out of a pie plate and some tin foil. I warmed up some stew for him to eat while he watched “Spy Ninjas”…remember that YouTube show? Bobby hasn’t watched it in a long while. He gave it up as the iPad and Roblox and Minecraft took up more and more of his free time.
We received the kids report cards today and they both did great.
While my wife was out walking with the kids this evening they met the people who bought Izzy’s parent’s house. They have a boy named Cal who is one year behind Bobby in the Chinese Program at Glenwood.
I went to the Dollar Store this evening to get some bubble gum and candy for this weekend. I’m planning on teaching the kids how to blow a bubble.
