I drove Bobby to school this morning. We talked a bit about his birthday tomorrow. I picked up a dozen eggs from the container in our neighborhood (see photo to the right). One of our neighbors has chickens and they lay too many eggs for them to consume.
At 2:30 pm I picked Bobby up at Glenwood. He wanted to have another playdate with Cal, but today is viola/violin class day. I gave him some Lance’s crackers to munch on in the car. He declined the can of pineapple juice.
On the drive home Bobby told me that today was “original cheesburger day” for school lunch. This opened the debate about what “original” meant. Just before we got home I happened to mention to him something that I did when I was 20 years old (I don’t remember what). He said, wow, that would be 42 years ago. He seems to be a whiz at math.
This evening Bobby and I played the fish card game. The problem is, if you happen to choose the wrong card, he will hold on tightly meaning that the card gets wrinkled… So now everyone knows the fish card. We tried to crumple up some of the other cards so that they would all look alike
Katie told me about one of her classmates whose name is Clyde. They played tag with some other friends at recess today.
Katie made some drawings, and my wife laminated them, as a birthday gift for Bobby.
